After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area through misty montane forests. Begin a scenic Crater Rim Walk through lush greenery, colourful wildflowers, and tall endemic trees. Bird lovers can spot olive sunbirds, cinnamon-chested bee-eaters, and European rollers. Keep watch for giraffes, zebras, and elephants as your guide and ranger lead you to a rarely visited viewpoint with stunning views into the crater — perfect for photography.
Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Once an active volcano, this natural amphitheatre spans 304 square kilometres and harbours roughly 30,000 animals year-round. This is one of the few places in Africa where you might see all of the Big Five in a single day, alongside ostriches, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor beside a hippo pool.
Your safari begins in the area the Maasai call the "serengit" — the land of endless plains. The Serengeti boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles. A UNESCO World Heritage Site for over forty years, its ecosystem supports more than 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras.
A full day exploring the Seronera Valley — famous for year-round wildlife. Carnivores like hyenas, lions, leopards, and cheetahs rest on rocky outcrops, scanning for prey on the open plains. The area is also home to buffalo, giraffes, hippopotamuses, impalas, topis, warthogs, and zebras. Morning and afternoon game drives ensure you catch the best light and the most active wildlife.
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through the Serengeti before your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a representative will greet you and transfer you to your boutique hotel in Jambiani. If you wish, stop to explore Stone Town — a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its narrow streets, carved wooden doors, and blend of African, Arab, Indian, and European cultures.
Three days on Jambiani's quiet southeast coast, where life moves to the rhythm of the tides. Walk barefoot on soft sand as traditional fishing boats drift across the shallow lagoon. Discover seaweed farms and village life that reveal Zanzibar's rich culture. The wide tidal flats are perfect for beach walks, kite surfing, and exploring local traditions. As the sun sets, the sky glows with soft gold and coral, creating a peaceful beauty that lingers into the evening.
Depending on your international flight time, spend the morning at leisure at your beachfront hotel. Enjoy a final swim in the turquoise waters before transferring to Zanzibar Airport, carrying memories of savannah sunsets and ocean horizons that will last a lifetime.
