The ultimate multi-activity adventure — start in the private Sinya concession at the foot of Kilimanjaro with Maasai walking safaris, then hike to the Shira Plateau at 3,400m for views of Kibo Peak. Continue through Tarangire, Lake Eyasi's cultural encounters, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater for a journey that covers every dimension of Tanzania.
Your representative meets you at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfers you to your lodge near the airport. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the adventure that begins at first light.
After breakfast, your private guide drives you to Sinya in western Kilimanjaro — a private concession spanning 600 square kilometres bordering Kenya's Amboseli National Park. Sinya offers stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido, and Ol Doinyo Orok. Only about 2,000 Maasai live in this vast region, still following their traditional way of life. Enjoy game drives, walking safaris with Maasai warriors, and a picnic sundowner with magnificent Kilimanjaro views.
Drive to Kilimanjaro National Park's western side and up through forests to Londorossi Gate at 2,100m. Hike steadily through tropical montane forests — home to colobus monkeys, crested turacos, and diverse birdlife — ascending over 1,000m to the Shira Plateau at 3,400m. This 500,000-year-old volcanic caldera is a World Heritage Site. Continue to Shira 1 Camp and the foothills of the Shira Pinnacles, with Kilimanjaro's iconic snow-covered Kibo Peak visible above. Enjoy a picnic lunch at altitude before descending back to the gate.
After breakfast, drive south to Tarangire — famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Game drive through the Silale Swamps and along the Tarangire River, where tree-climbing lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species await. The dry season sees one of the highest wildlife concentrations in all of Tanzania.
An early morning game drive takes you deep into Tarangire's most remote areas, including the Silale Swamps. Hundreds of elephants come to feed on the lush grass, joined by a remarkable variety of wildlife — including the park's famous tree-climbing lions, leopards, and huge African Rock Pythons. After a full morning of discoveries and a picnic lunch, depart for your next destination.
Start the day early with your guide for a visit to a Hadzabe village at Lake Eyasi. The Hadzabe, fewer than 2,000 strong, are among the last tribes preserving their ancestral hunter-gatherer traditions — untouched by tourism and globalisation. Join them for a sunrise hunt and witness how they move through the wild to find food. Afterwards, visit a Datoga village, known for farming and metalworking since migrating from Sudan and Ethiopia some 3,000 years ago. Watch the blacksmith craft beautiful ornaments and tools using techniques passed down through generations.
Your safari begins in the area the Maasai call the "serengit" — the land of endless plains. The Serengeti boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles. A UNESCO World Heritage Site for over forty years, its ecosystem supports more than 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras.
A full day exploring the Seronera Valley — famous for year-round wildlife. Carnivores like hyenas, lions, leopards, and cheetahs rest on rocky outcrops, scanning for prey on the open plains. The area is also home to buffalo, giraffes, hippopotamuses, impalas, topis, warthogs, and zebras. Morning and afternoon game drives ensure you catch the best light and the most active wildlife.
Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and home to roughly 30,000 animals including the endangered black rhino. This natural amphitheatre offers your best chance to see all the Big Five in a single day. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor beside a hippo pool.
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Arusha for a safari debrief before continuing to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight — carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
Rise before dawn to float silently above the endless plains. Watch sunrise paint the Serengeti gold as herds of wildebeest, giraffes, and elephants move beneath you. Land for champagne breakfast in the bush.
