Day-by-day itinerary
Days 1–6 · Tanzania Classic Safari
Arrive Arusha → Tarangire → Serengeti (3 nights) → Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha. Same itinerary as our 7-day classic safari, with one fewer day in Arusha to make room for Zanzibar.
Day 7 · Fly Arusha → Zanzibar
Morning departure from Arusha (ARK) to Zanzibar (ZNZ) — about 1 hour. Met at Zanzibar airport and driven (~1 hour) to your beach resort on the east or northeast coast. Afternoon at leisure on the beach.
Day 8 · Stone Town & spice tour (optional)
Half-day Stone Town walking tour — UNESCO heritage site, Sultan’s Palace, the slave-trade memorial, and the famous spice market. Afternoon spice farm tour with a traditional Swahili lunch. Or skip it and stay at the beach. Your choice.
Day 9 · Mnemba Atoll snorkelling (optional)
Boat trip to Mnemba Atoll — Zanzibar’s most pristine reef. Snorkel with reef sharks, turtles, and tropical fish. Lunch on the boat. Afternoon back at your resort.
Day 10 · Departure
Final morning at the beach. Transfer to Zanzibar airport for your international flight home.

Is 4 days enough in Zanzibar?
For most travellers, yes — 4 days is the perfect amount of beach decompression after a fast-paced safari. If you want to spend more time exploring Stone Town and the spice farms, we can extend to 5 or 6 days at the beach.
Is this trip good for honeymoons?
It’s our most-booked honeymoon trip. The combination of adventure (safari) followed by total relaxation (beach) is exactly what most honeymooners want. We can also arrange in-room dining, sunset dhow cruises, and couples spa treatments at Zanzibar resorts.
What’s the best month to do this trip?
